RESEARCH OF COMPRESSIONCOMPRESSION FATIGUE TESTING ON SMOOTH COMPOSITE LAMINATES AND NOTCHED COMPOSITE LAMINATES

Two kinds of new anti buckling supports for the specimens of smooth composite laminates and the notched composite laminates are designed. The compression compression fatigue tests of smooth composite laminate and notched composite laminate are briefly given. Furthermore their damage mechanism is analyzed and discussed. And then a “transition” concept of fatigue damage of composites is presented.
